The St. John’s Regional Fire Department has given the all-clear after knocking down a fire at an abandoned property on Mundy Pond Road.
The house is immediately next to St. Teresa’s Elementary, which prompted school officials to go into temporary ‘Secure School Mode’ while firefighters attended the scene.
Students are now being dismissed from the school, with buses departing from St. Teresa’s Church.
No cars are allowed on the school parking lot for the time being.
