The city of St. John’s is resuming its yard waste collection in May.
Grass, leaves, sod, plant trimmings, and small branches must be put in paper yard-waste bags at the curb. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected.
Options to curbside disposal that local residents can consider include mulching or backyard composting.
Yard waste in paper bags is also accepted at the residential drop-off at Robin Hood Bay.
The bagged yard waste is composted on-site and is used in landscaping projects in the city.
