The Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology is allaying fears fueled by speculation that the province is getting low on gas.
Nothing could be further from the truth, says Andrew Parsons. He says a cargo of summer gas arrived at Come By Chance on Friday and will be distributed in the coming days.
That’s part of the regular seasonal transition from winter gas to summer gas that has to occur by the end of April. He says there may have been some “tightness” over a few days as companies draw down on their winter gas inventory.
By regulation, gas blends must be changed seasonally according to temperature as per Reid vapor pressure measurements.
