The Department of Fisheries, Forestry, and Agriculture created a new Resource Enforcement Division which consolidated all enforcement personnel within one division.
It contains over 90 officers now authorized to enforce environmental protection legislation and what government is calling a broad range of statutes related to forestry, wildlife, endangered species, wilderness and ecological reserves, illegal dumping, and the use of snowmobiles or all-terrain vehicles.
The site also includes a list of office locations, forms for reporting a tip, filing complaints and complimenting an officer, as well as information on how to arrange educational opportunities for schools and community groups.
The website can be found at www.stoppoaching.ca.
