Charges have been laid against Paradise Paving Limited following an investigation by Occupational Health and Safety into a fatal workplace accident nearly two years ago.
The accident happened on May 31, 2019, when an employee was preparing to pave a driveway in New Harbour.
The Occupational Health and Safety division of Digital Government and Service has charged the company with six violations of regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
A first appearance is scheduled for May 12 at Provincial Court in St. John’s.
