The Town of CBS has named the community room at the CBS Arena after a long-time community volunteer.

Council unanimously agreed to name the room after Gerald Kelly, a long-time resident of the town who is well-known for his volunteer work. Kelly, who has been involved with the Parish of St. Thomas of Villanova since its infancy, has served on many committees. He was also involved with the Holy Spirit Minor Hockey League, the CBS Parks and Recreation Committee, CBS softball associations, and the Newfoundland Amateur Hockey Association

Mayor Terry French says they’re proud to be able to recognize Kelly’s accomplishments by naming the community room after him.
