A 51-year-old man is dead after an accident Friday afternoon on the TCH just west of Glenwood.

A pickup truck and a van were heavily damaged. The occupant of the van, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene while the driver of the truck was not seriously injured.

RCMP in Lewisporte say the initial investigation suggests that the pickup crossed over the centre line into the oncoming path of the van.
