The southwest corner of the province is moving to Alert Level 4 as of midnight tonight as the result of the spread of COVID-19 beyond the households of recent travelers.

Fitzgerald announced that all areas from South Branch to Port aux Basques, including the Codroy Valley, and across to Rose Blanche-Harbour le Cou are moving to Alert Level 4 as of midnight tonight.
That Special Measures Order will be re-evaluated in one week.
There are ten new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province today: four in the Eastern Health region, three in Central Health, two in Western Health, and one in Labrador-Grenfell Health. Seven of those ten cases are related to travel, while the two in Western Health are contacts of previous cases who are under the age of 20.
Meanwhile, new testing requirements are being put in place for travelers aged five and older according to their self-isolation requirements.
Asymptomatic travelers who are fully isolating away from others for two weeks are required to be tested once at the end of their self-isolation period. Self-isolation means staying in an area away from others with no shared spaces within the dwelling.
Meanwhile, asymptomatic people self-isolating with their families, are required to be tested twice in their self-isolation period. Once on arrival and again near the end of the 14-day self-isolation period.
