If you got a COVID test or a COVID vaccine any time over the last year, there is a good chance that the person who administered it was an LPN.
NAPE President Jerry Earle, a former licensed practical nurse himself, is raising awareness about the role of LPNs during this, National Nursing Week.
Earle says licensed practical nurses answer the call in a variety of ways, and play an important role as part of health care teams in hospital settings and on the front lines.

Earle recently had his COVID vaccine administered by his wife, who is also an LPN. He says LPNs carry out critical roles every day, and the light has been shone on those roles during the recent pandemic.
