A Burgeo man was recently arrested for violating a Canada-wide driving prohibition.

Bay St. George RCMP received a report of a driver operating a pickup without a licence earlier this week.

The 37-year-old was prohibited from driving any type of vehicle in Canada stemming from an impaired driving conviction.

Police say further investigation revealed that the man was also driving an ATV earlier in the day. He was arrested and both the truck and the ATV were seized and impounded.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
