RNC Chief Joe Boland is responding to the guilty verdict reached over the weekend in the sexual assault trial of suspended police officer Doug Snelgrove.
Chief Boland says he recognizes survivors and reiterated his commitment to ensuring the highest level of accountability and professional ethics within the RNC.
Because the case could be appealed, Chief Boland says they are awaiting the conclusion of all criminal proceedings, which is when the RNC’s public complaint process will begin in compliance with the RNC Act.
Snelgrove will remain suspended without pay pending the conclusion of all legal proceedings.
