There are ten new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the province today, and one new presumptive positive case in the Western Health region.
Of the confirmed cases, there are two in the Eastern Health region, two in the Central Health region, and six in the Western Health region.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Codroy Valley and surrounding area is now nine—three of which are associated with the local school.
Four of the new confirmed cases are related to travel in Canada, while the remainder are close contacts of previous cases. There are 93 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
Public Health, meanwhile, is asking passengers who traveled on Provincial Airlines Flight PB902 from Wabush to Deer Lake on Sunday, May 9, to arrange for COVID-19 testing.
