Springdale RCMP are continuing to investigate an incident of potential impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Triton late Sunday night.

Shortly before midnight, police responded to the crash on Route 380 where the driver and a passenger — who had been trapped inside the vehicle — were removed by firefighters and rushed to hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police at the hospital noticed signs of impairment from the driver so a sample of the man’s blood was collected to determine if charges will be laid.
