Meanwhile, the unofficial start to summer is coming up—the May 24 weekend. Long-range forecasts show a shift in wind direction and a sharp rise in temperatures for many areas.
The mercury will hit the high teens in most places across the island—including metro—on Friday and Saturday, before returning to single digits on Sunday.
