The St. John’s Regional Fire Department made quick work of an unusual fire in the capital city’s downtown Friday evening.
The operator of the newer model SUV noticed smoke and pulled over on Clift’s Baird’s Cove and in no time, the vehicle was consumed in flame.
The occupants managed to get out uninjured, albeit somewhat shaken.
Firefighers were quick to the scene and knocked the flames down in short order.
