Six new confirmed cases of COVID-19 are being reported in the province today.
Four are in the Central region—three of which are connected to the cluster and one case which is travel-related. There are eleven presumptive positive cases in the Central region all of which are related to the cluster. That brings to 49 the total number of confirmed cases related to the Central Newfoundland outbreak.
One of the new confirmed cases reported today is in the Eastern region, which is related to travel, and the sixth case is in Western Health, the cause of which is still under investigation.
Five people are in hospital, three of whom are in intensive care. There are ten new recoveries, leaving 89 active cases in the province.
The source of the cluster in Central Newfoundland remains under investigation.
