The recreational salmon angling season will soon be upon us.
Anglers can take to the rivers on the island next Tuesday and fish until September 7. The season in Labrador starts June 15 and ends Sept. 15.
Salmon licenses will be available at retail vendors such as gas stations, convenience stores, and major chain stores. Anglers are not required to sign their licenses upon purchase but have to do so before going onto the rivers.
Anglers will be permitted to retain a total of two salmon with a maximum of one salmon on Class 2 rivers.
