Police are investigating a recent theft of cable worth over $60,000 from the Beaver Brook Antimony Mine near Glenwood.
According to Gander RCMP, the cable is believed to have been stolen from the remote compound sometime last week.
The culprits cut through a section of chain link fence and cut off some 400 metres of cable, which contains copper and aluminum. Using an ATV, they then fled along a wooded trail.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
