Western Health has released details of its testing plans for the Port au Port Peninsula.
They’re encouraging everyone 12 and older, especially in the Kippens and Stephenville area, to get tested whether symptomatic or not.
Public Health will go to each multi-grade (K-12), junior high and high school in the region one time between tomorrow and through to June 19 to provide a vaccine to students. Parents can also bring their children to a vaccine clinic.
To arrange testing, you can go online and complete the self-assessment or call 811. Testing will be available at the Stephenville Dome beginning today.
Meanwhile, Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Rosann Seviour, says work continues toward finding the right balance with education.
She says the medical officer of health for the region is in contact with school officials to assess and monitor the situation toward finding the safest way for kids to be in school.

Process for receiving results
Individuals who are tested can access their test results online through the Patient Results portal. Final results are normally available within 24 hours.
Everyone is reminded to follow public health measures including wearing masks, staying home when sick and supporting employees to do the same, practicing good hand hygiene, staying home as much as possible unless necessary for work and other essential activities, and following provincial public health requirements and recommendations.
