Residents of Labrador and the community of Natuashish are mourning the loss of a young man who made a big and lasting impact on the community.

Bryan Rich served as deputy fire chief and was an active member of the community. He served on the local search and rescue team and was a person to whom many in the community turned to in times of need.

Rich is being remembered for making people laugh and being there for others, especially in his role as a first responder.

There has been an outpouring of love and sympathy from the community following news of his passing, including from MP Yvonne Jones.
