The family of the late George Murphy are expressing their gratitude for the many messages of support and condolence they’ve received since his sudden passing on the weekend.
Murphy passed away while enjoying time around the fire with family. He was 58.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 11 a.m. from the Carnell’s Memorial Chapel, but because of COVID restrictions, the in-person service will be by invitation only.
The service will be live-streamed for the many people who want to pay their respects.
Murphy was an agent for change and was a driving force behind move over laws and efforts to reduce electricity rates, not to mention his weekly gas price forecast for which he is perhaps best known.
The family is asking people to consider sending messages of condolence or donation in George’s memory to the memorial fund, instead of traveling long distances for the visitation.
