The House of Assembly will convene Monday morning to debate the troubled Terra Nova Project.
The emergency debate was first suggested by Interim PC Party Leader David Brazil during the question period yesterday.
He calls the situation “frustrating” because his party has been trying to get information about the situation for weeks.
Brazil says they aren’t suggesting government should “write a blank cheque” to the companies, but they wanted the emergency debate to foster a dialogue about what can be done to save the project.
He says they want to learn about what was offered and find a way to guarantee that the province’s offshore industry can flourish.
