There are no new cases of COVID-19 being reported today in Newfoundland and Labrador. This is the first day with no newly identified cases since April 27.
Another 10 people have recovered—seven in Central and three in Western Newfoundland—leaving just 22 active cases in this province. Two people remain in the hospital due to the virus.
Public Health has concluded the investigation into the Central cluster, with no confirmed source for the outbreak. However, the public health risk is considered low.
The investigation into the Western cluster continues.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health has issued advisories related to COVID-19 outbreaks identified at two work sites in Alberta.
The department was informed by the Public Health Agency of Canada that cases were identified at Arc Resources, Grand Prairie and Suncor Firebag.
Rotational workers with those projects must isolate for two weeks upon returning to this province and arrange for testing.
