Dashcam footage of a recent series of close calls on a section of the Burin Peninsula Highway has gone viral.

Several vehicles had to suddenly swerve out of the way to avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming pickup driving toward them in the wrong lane.

The dashcam footage was captured on Wednesday evening by Raymond Connolly who was sideswiped and ended up leaving the road.

Chantal Cheeseman, who was driving immediately in front of the vehicle that caught the jaw-dropping incident on video, shared the footage on Facebook indicating that RCMP were called.
