The provincial government is providing an indication of the number of travelers coming into Newfoundland and Labrador since the borders reopened on Canada Day.
According to Health Minister John Haggie, in the first four days of July over 10,000 travel forms were received. He estimates that most of those people should be in the province by now.
He says “planeloads” of people have been arriving. As well, he notes that despite concerns around the paperwork needed to enter the province, very few issues have come up.
