The Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department, with the help of the Harbour Grace Fire Brigade’s cold water rescue unit, rescued a person who had fallen from the cliffs at Crocker’s Cove point yesterday.
The person was found safely and was passed on to medical personnel.
The fire department is reminding the public however to give emergency crews plenty of room and space to carry out their work. Yesterday’s effort drew a great deal of public interest so much so that traffic congestion became a problem.
