The Iceberg Alley concert series is making its return to Quidi Vidi this September, boasting what some are calling an impressive lineup of artists.
Producer Shawn Basha says the performance tent will look and feel the same as previous years. He says part of Iceberg Alley’s proposal to the government was that the capacity would not be reduced, and social distancing would not be maintained.
Hand sanitizing stations and cleaning protocols will be in place. As for a mask and vaccination policy during the events, Basha says that is yet to be confirmed.
Basha says tickets say that you may need to wear a mask at the event and you may need to be fully vaccinated. He says they will follow public health advice leading up to the events.
The series runs from September 8 to 18, with Canadian hard rock band Billy Talent headlining the first event on September 9. April Wine takes the stage the following night.
Other headliners include the Barenaked Ladies, Alan Doyle, and the long-awaited reunion of the original Irish Descendants.
Event organizers say enhanced measures have been put in place to ensure safety at the concert series—but remind the public that being fully vaccinated is the safest way to attend.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, July 20 at 8 a.m. on the event’s website.
