Gander-based EVAS Air is continuing to expand its operations despite the pandemic.
President Patrick White says EVAS is now producing air ambulances and cargo aircraft for global markets.
The company is modifying the first of five aircraft for a customer with global air operations, and they are in advanced discussion with potential clients in the US who are looking to expand their cargo operations and replace their aging fleet.
The EVAS Air Medi-Maxx and Cargo Maximizer programs are the first in the world of their kind says White.
The Medi-MAXX Air Ambulance is capable of handling bariatric patients, COVID-19 and infectious disease transports as well as neo-natal transfers using the aircraft’s dual bed system.
Cargo Maximizer meanwhile will increase cargo capacity by 40 per cent compared to similar aircraft according to EVAS.
