A locally-based smart thermostat company is launching its third product on the North American market.

Mysa has introduced “Mysa for Air Conditioners”, a smart thermostat designed to control ductless mini-split heat pumps, window, or portable AC units using Mysa’s mobile app.

The product was made available for pre-order in November of 2020 and is now available for purchase after over two years of research, development, and consumer testing.

Mysa CEO, Joshua Green, says they saw a demand in the market for the air conditioner thermostats and knew they could supply the right product.

He says with global warming and climate change, the demand for air conditioning and mini-split heat pumps has risen, so they saw an opportunity.

Head of Marketing for Mysa, Amy Fisher, says the thermostats are particularly good for people living in large cities.

She says a lot of people have window or portable AC units and are seeing the prices sky rocket. She says their product will help keep costs low for people going through heat waves.
