A prominent local musician is without his signature piece after his guitar went missing.
Darcy Broderick of Broderick’s Pub, leaves his 1982 Takamine F360S guitar on the stage at the Pub when he’s not performing. However, when he went to perform last night, his instrument was nowhere to be seen, as someone had taken it off the stage between Monday night and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
In a Facebook post, Caitlyn Broderick, Darcy’s daughter, says that it has been a very hard year for musicians and small business owners, and they just want to get Darcy’s “working tools” back.
She says the instrument holds sentimental value, and that her father was heartbroken to find it missing.
They’re asking anyone who has information or if someone is in possession of the guitar to drop it off at the pub, no questions asked.
