The Carbonear Volunteer Fire Department battled a structure fire yesterday with some unique stakes—the home was 100-years-old.

The crews battled the flames and high heat to extinguish the fire successfully, with the structure still standing. They say the incident “could have been worse”.

The extent of the damage and cause of the fire are unknown at this time.
