This week marks the first time since the end of the camping season in the fall of 2019 that we have been able to have full capacity in our provincial parks
ParksNL opened all remaining campsites in all 13 provincial parks for reservations as of yesterday. The decision means a total of 142 campsites have been added for reservations.
The minister responsible, Steve Crocker, says the pandemic has highlighted the need to get out and enjoy our beautiful province. He says we’re enjoying a strong season in the parks.
Demand is up by about 20 per cent over last year. There were 100 bookings yesterday alone on the additional sites which opened up.
