A 53-year-old tractor trailer driver has been ticketed by Glovertown RCMP following a shocking near-miss on the highway on August 23.

Video footage shows the tractor trailer crossing over a solid line into the opposite lane, only to pull back narrowly avoiding a collision with an oncoming vehicle.

The dash cam footage was captured on the Trans-Canada near Gambo by an off-duty officer.

The driver was ticketed for crossing a solid line and for passing on the left when unsafe under the provincial Highway Traffic Act.
