Search efforts continued through the night for two men reported overdue on a fishing trip off the southeast coast of Labrador.
The men were on board the 28 foot fishing vessel the Island Lady, which departed on Friday and was reported overdue Friday evening.
A prayer vigil to bring the two men home safely was held in Charlottetown last night.
Family members indicate that one of the two men made a call around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, the co-ordinates of which have been passed on to searchers.
RCMP, the Canadian Coast Guard and the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax are involved in the intensive effort off Mary’s Harbour. Local mariners are also being asked to search the Strait of Belle Isle and Battle Harbour areas for any sign of the Island Lady and her two man crew.
