The provincial government’s vaccine passport system, set to be launched next week, will be relying heavily on technology but there will be physical options available for those who need it.
The documents will rely on digital QR codes that businesses can scan to determine if someone meets the criteria for entry.
For those with smartphones, iPads, etc the codes can be downloaded. However, the Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, Sarah Stoodley, says there will be printable options for those without digital access.
For anyone without a printer, a phone number will be set up for people to call and the physical version will be mailed out to them.
