The Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador is offering free memberships to Black, Indigenous, and other People of Colour.
The new initiative will see the membership fee waived for BIPOC writers for a minimum of five years.
Its goal is to increase representation while providing paid opportunities to marginalized people.
All writers who sign up will have a WANL membership that is valid until five years after their sign-up date.
Anyone wishing to avail of the membership may do so online.
