The new city council in Corner Brook has officially been sworn in.
The ceremony took place during a rare Sunday meeting yesterday.
Jim Parsons, who was re-elected as mayor in last week’s election, says the city is facing numerous issues, but that the current council is in it for all the right reasons.
Parsons has some advice for those who are new to the council table.
He says giving someone an accurate, honest answer is much better in the long run than giving them the answer they want to hear.
He also encourages councilors to resist the urge to “feed the trolls” on social media.
