A 27-year-old Green’s Harbour man, who was on a Canada-wide driving prohibition, was arrested during a recent traffic stop near Butter Pot Park.
The RCMP Traffic Services enforcement effort took place on Wednesday, September 29th, resulting in nearly 60 speeding tickets being issued to drivers.
The Green’s Harbour man is scheduled to appear in court January 14th.
Another driver, a 17-year-old from Clarenville, was stopped for driving 159 km/h.
The teen was issued a $520 dollar fine and the vehicle was seized.
The diver’s licence was also suspended.
