The Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival is coming soon to a screen near you.
Following a summer season of over 25 live performances in St. John’s, the digital edition of the festival will bring artists from Newfoundland and Labrador to audiences near and far.
Anna Brophy, president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Arts Society, says because their summer events had such limited audience capacity, they wanted to make sure there was an opportunity for everyone, everywhere to participate in the festival.
The 45th Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival is made up of five episodes each focusing on one of the following themes: Songs, strings, dance, accordion and percussion.
