Dawson Mercer got his first NHL point in his first NHL game last night, assisting on a goal by Andreas Johnsson. That would turn out to be a very important goal, putting the New Jersey Devils up 3-1. The Chicago Blackhawks fought back to tie the game but Jack Hughes scored a beauty early in OT to give the Devils the two points.
