A well-known pioneer in the province’s offshore industry has passed away.
Lee Shinkle entered the province’s oil and gas industry back in the 1980s with the creation of AMI Offshore Inc.
Shinkle served as president of Noia in 1991 and was the director of numerous companies and volunteer organizations along the way.
Noia is describing Shinkle as an industry giant. Chair and Vice President James Parmiter says words cannot describe the loss felt within Noia and the local oil and gas industry on news of Shinkle’s passing.
He was presented with Noia’s Outstanding Contribution Award in 2019.
