Bay Roberts native Dawson Mercer has scored his very first NHL goal.
Mercer put the New Jersey Devils on the board a little over 5 minutes into the first period against Seattle, popping in a pass from Tomas Tatar while sliding in on one knee.
The goal gave the Devils the lead, and the team never looked back, beating the Kraken 4-2.
