The new interim leader of the province’s New Democratic Party says it’ll take a while to get used to the title.
St. John’s Centre MHA Jim Dinn agreed to take on the role until a new leader is found, likely sometime next year.
Alison Coffin resigned on Tuesday after delegates to the party’s weekend convention voted almost 60 per cent for a review of her leadership.
With the shift in the House, Jim Dinn also finds himself sitting next to his brother, Tory MHA Paul Dinn.
He says it’s not unlike the seating arrangement during family get-togethers, adding he hopes his experience and intelligence will rub off on his younger brother, and vice versa.
