The provincial court in St. John’s is temporarily closing Courtroom # 10 after a dog from a local pest control company confirmed the presence of bedbugs, or bed bug scent, during a recent sweep of the area.
Officials say while an exact date of when the bed bugs became present is unknown, the last negative sweep of Courtroom # 10 was on October 15th.
Treatment is underway and the Courtroom #10 will not be used until the issue has been resolved.
