The Newfoundland Growlers are back in action in Conception Bay South tonight following what’s been deemed an “unbelievable” start last weekend by team management.
The Growlers played in the province for the first time since the start of the pandemic last weekend, taking two games in a three match series against the Adirondack Thunder.
The CBS arena wasn’t where the team thought they’d be playing, but due to the ongoing legal battle with St. John’s Sports and Entertainment the team was forced to find a new, temporary home.
Growlers President Glenn Stanford describes the atmosphere for the first three games.
He says the 1,100 fans in the building felt like 4,000 for what he says was an exciting couple of games and a successful weekend.
The Growlers are back on the ice tonight in CBS for the start of a three game series against Worcester Railers.
