Non-urgent outpatient blood collection appointments for today at Major’s Path have been cancelled due to a delay in the resumption of some technology services. Patients whose appointments are cancelled are asked to re-book through the online appointment booking system.
Patients requiring urgent, INR or treatment-dependent blood work should proceed to their appointments as scheduled.
Anyone in the St. John’s region or rural Avalon who missed an appointment for November 1 to November 12 must call their local number to rebook their appointment. Those who are booking new appointments must bring their laboratory requisition to the appointment as physicians are unable to submit requisitions directly to the collection site.
Patients in Clarenville, Bonavista Peninsula or Burin Peninsula who missed appointments during that time will be contacted by Eastern Health to rebook.
Eastern Health says if your physician submitted the requisition before October 29, it will still be available at the designated site, in all locations.
