A man from the Goulds has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with a fatal car crash this time last year.
Thirty-nine-year-old Jonathan Nash is accused of impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving.
Nash was the driver of a vehicle that went off the road just before 3 a.m. on November 28 of last year. He was not seriously hurt but his passenger, 49-year-old Kelly Winsor, died at the scene.
It happened along the stretch of road that leads from Pitts Memorial Drive toward Brookfield Road.
Yesterday, Nash’s lawyer entered not guilty pleas on behalf of his client, who is not in custody.
The preliminary inquiry has been set for July 12 to 14 of next year.
