People on Fogo Island and Change Islands have been without ferry service since yesterday afternoon.
The Veteran went down because of an electrical issue. Workers are assessing the situation to determine the length of time that it will be out of service. If that ends up being long-term, the Beaumont Hamel will be brought in to take over.
In the meantime, air service is being provided.
The Department of Transportation will be providing an update on the situation later today.
