The Growlers are heading back to the Mary Brown’s Centre and one local business could not be happier.
The Newfoundland Embassy, located across the street from the arena, sees a big uptick in business every game night as Growlers fans from near and far pile in for a bite to eat and a drink before and after the games.
Brendan and Niall Hickey, the owners of the Newfoundland Embassy, say the return of the Growlers will affect the entire downtown area.
Brendan says a lot of businesses will benefit from the repairing of the relationship between the team and the City of St. John’s.
They say they’re going to pick up from where they left off with promotions and being the home of Growlers Nation. They’ve already heard from regulars who are eagerly awaiting the games.
