Gander RCMP are searching for a man who escaped from custody Saturday night.
38-year-old Garry Ivany had been arrested in relation to a theft from a local business.
Ivany was still handcuffed when he was last seen in the area of Rickenbacker Street in Gander.
RCMP continue to search for Ivany with the help of the K9 unit.
Police do not believe there is any threat to public safety and are urging Ivany to turn himself in.
